Thanks for all the delicious sushi memories!

Thanks for all the delicious sushi memories!

With its hip modern look, Sushilicious became a quick hit among college sushi enthusiasts when it opened its doors over two and half years ago. Its revolving sushi bar showcased creatively named sushis and waitresses took orders via iPod Touch. Two of their more popular dishes on the menu included the Lil Miss Sunshine roll, a California roll topped with salmon and lemon, and the sushicalifragilisticexpialadocious, a soy wrap with crab mix, cucumbers, and mixed greens topped with shrimp tempura and spicy sauce. Sushilicious was given the prestigious title of 2nd place “Best Sushi” in the 1st Annual Best of Orange County by the Register. However it was not enough to keep the doors open.

Sadly, due to personal reasons, owners Daniel Woo and Greg Ong decided to close up shop. @sushilicious tweeted its farewell on October 21, “Thank you to all of our friends and family who supported us. We will miss you all. -Peace, Love and Sushilicious”

Sushilicious, you will be missed!

Interesting fact, the restaurant was named by owner Daniel Woo’s 5-year-old daughter who said that sushi is delicious.
